Rose-less Rose Garden

Between 4th and 5th off Walnut behind iron gates is the Rose Garden, overseen by the National Park Service.

At the moment there are no roses, but they are trying.

These roses are in need of thoughts and prayers.

There is an interesting bit of history in the remains of a cobblestone street from 1800.

The garden is a surprisingly large space.

It goes back a full block. Across the street at the far end is the Magnolia Garden, the subject of an earlier post.
