In July I wrote about a rolled ice cream shop in Old City. Tonight I tried another ice cream trend, liquid nitrogen. While rolled ice cream uses a cold stone to freeze the cream, liquid nitrogen ice cream uses, well, liquid nitrogen.
I went to Happily Ever After on Market between Second and Third.
They have a lot of flavors to choose from. I went with mint chocolate.
First the cream goes into a blender.
Then the liquid nitrogen is added.
Finally a small blow torch is used.
The final result is a cup of ice cream.
I can’t say this is better than other ice cream, but it does come with a show.
